We also have funding to deliver higher level QCF qualifications (Levels 4 and 5) for employees of all ages in sectors including; Health & Social Care, Child Care and Business Management.
Apprenticeships (at all levels) for learners aged 16-19, irrespective of the length of time the learner has been in their job role.
In relation to learners aged 20+ (with the exception of higher apprenticeships) support is available for apprentices who are relatively new to their job role (which may be with their current or new employer) i.e. employed in their current job role for no more than 12 months. There is no restriction to the length of employment for higher apprentices.
In addition, in order to ensure that we continue to focus on higher level skills within priority sectors, we are limiting the number of level 2 apprenticeships starts in non-priority sectors to 10% of all starts. The non-priority sectors are currently: Business Administration, Customer Service & Retail and Hair & Beauty.
